Appalachian Dowsers

Applied Intuition & Sensing the Unseen

We are the Appalachian Chapter of the American Society of Dowsers (ASD), a regional dowsing group serving Western North Carolina and the South Carolina upstate area.

“The American Society of Dowsing” or ASD was chartered in 1961, our Appalachian Chapter was chartered in 1981 as a non-profit educational organization, dedicated to public education about dowsing and intuitive abilities, providing public lectures and training classes covering the broad scope of dowsing techniques.

We warmly welcome new members and those people who wish to learn more about the fascinating art and science of Dowsing. You don’t have to know how to dowse to become a member; our popular classes can take you from enthusiastic beginner right through to professional level.

While we used to offer four quarterly chapter meetings per year, now we are collaborating with the Tucson Dowsing chapter and offering monthly educational presentations via Zoom on the first Saturday of the month, from 4:30 – 6pm EST. We also hold local seasonal gatherings and summer Social Picnics that include basic dowsing training and fun ways to practice dowsing together such as dowsing for hidden chocolate and underground water.

All our events are announced in our newsletter “The Wellspring” and on this website, along with directions to the in-person meeting locations. Members are entitled to free admission at all of our gatherings and to receive the newsletter.
